Triple Transformation in the Turkish and World Economy: Opportunities, Risks and Policies

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Ege University organized Türkiye’s first Economics Students’ Conference in 1998, and this event, which attracted significant nationwide attention, has since become a tradition. Since 2006, the conference has been held on an international scale, and this year it will take place in person on 14–15 May 2026. 

The main theme of this year’s conference has been determined as “Triple Transformation in the Turkish and World Economy: Opportunities, Risks and Policies.” Today, the processes of digital transformation, green transformation and social transformation deeply affect economic structures, which are forms of production and policy areas. In this context, the conference aims to discuss the effects of these transformations on the economy and to share innovative ideas and research from different disciplines. Through the opening lecture and panels to be held within the scope of the conference, academics, representatives of the public sector and the business world will come together with students to share their knowledge and experience.

Since it is a student conference, all paper authors must be students in undergraduate, master’s or doctoral programs. Participants who wish to present a paper at the conference are required to submit their extended abstracts or full papers by 30 April 2026. Accepted papers will be announced in the conference program. Papers may be presented in Turkish or English. Within the scope of the conference, the best papers will be awarded, and the award evaluation will be made on the basis of the full paper.

Submitted papers must be prepared in accordance with the template available on the conference webpage and uploaded through the relevant application system.
